Consider the essay a personal narrative describing the defining moment of preparing a corpse for a funeral. Evaluate the essay. Consider theme and method. What point does the essay make about how Americans construct identity through their treatment of dead bodies? How does it make this point? Provide and evaluate examples of narrative method expressing theme.
